EVERGREY: Israeli CD Distributor Comments On METALIST FESTIVAL Cancellation
August 30, 2004Raven Music, EVERGREY's CD distributor in Israel, has issued a statement regarding the band's decision to cancel their appearance at the second annual Metalist Festival, held August 26, 2004 at the Hangar 11 venue in Tel-aviv, Israel. The statement reads as follows:
"We, Raven Music, distributors of EVERGREY in Israel, heard in the 25th of August that the band will not come for the show in the festival by email from the band management.
"We were very dissapointed as we hoped to promote the new album in the show and of course grow the sales. We believe and hope that both sides will find very soon an alternative date and set up the show. We didn't supposed to 'make truth known' — we just say that the band still want to come and don't afraid of terror and they didn't cancelled because of terror — they want to come to Israel, both sides are looking for a new date, and we believe that the band and Metalist (which is the biggest gig producers here) will soon find an alternative date and do a successful show for both sides, we hope a positive news will follow very soon and a great show will happen."
